Kesto's Blog has been deleted!

19 Feb

The personal blog of Mohamed Haleem “Kesto” has been deleted. It is sad that such an act can happen during a time when we are aspiring for democratic processes and freedom of expression in our country.

That we have those amidst us who will do such things.

Now now… I think Simon is right. I mean if you compare Simon’s physique to that of Kesto’s, we all know that its very unlikely for Kesto to have room for those HUUGGGEEE and GIGANTIC balls hanging inbtweens Simon’s legs. Those are some balls Simon my friend. (Dammit there goes my appetite for samboal now)

i may not have been an avid reader of kesto’s blog …but i did read most posts (if there was anything to read, some of his posts were just vids) … and i kinda liked knowing what he had to say …but that suddenly … he was victimized … and his blog deleted … he didnt have a back up … and no way of getting it back …ok … thats sad … we all know the feeling when we loose our work … be in online or not …but why cant he just start another blog …kesto2.wordpress.com … ???how hard can it be to do that … ???

I agree with Simon. Moreover it is my understanding that Kesto used different names to attack those with opposing or conflicting views.

I’m not saying he’s irresponsible. I know him a little and we are friends too.Even if my claim is completely wrong, that still leaves us with the question of why he did not start a new one if, as you imply, he too was aspiring for freedom of expression..yada yada.Like I said, the blog was deleted over a month ago. He should start another blog instead of mourning his loss and blaming it on “hackers”…What is that anyway??

Simon, it was not completely so. Kesto was a classmate of mine and we bump into each other often at Alfresco nowadays. He is a quiet and responsible person. I was away from blogging for sometime and learned that it was deleted only when I tried to visit it a couple of days ago. And he told me that it was deleted, when I asked him; not by him, but by a hacker. He said that some of his IT friends tried to retrieve it too. But to no avail. Ofcourse, you would have a basis for your opinion. I just thought I would share my knowledge on the matter.

Kesto’s blog wasn’t deleted today, yesterday or even last week. It was supposedly deleted over a month ago.And besides, if Kesto was part of that drive for “democratic processes and freedom of expression in our country” and he was determined and steadfast in his personal conviction to upload such values then all it takes is a few clicks to create another blog and show the perpetrators responsible for the “act” that he will persevere no matter what. But that is not the case. Which is why I personally think Kesto deleted his own blog. He had a tough time taking criticism as was evident from one of his posts of the time. It takes real balls to keep a blog criticizing public affairs and to take on critical issues.I think Kesto committed blog suicide. That’s my opinion.
