Proud Parents

03 Nov

Shaheed Hussain Adam (private in the National Security Services) died defending his country on November 3rd 1988.

To day as we “celebrate the 19th Victory Day” of the Maldives, I am not quite sure whether we as a nation know what the young man died for?

Do you have any idea what the young man may have said, were he asked the question? How would you have answered if you were the hero himself?

I salute the parents who brought up that young man, that defended our nation.

these supporters of nasheed are the pple who planned this. So they won’t believe. Don’t worry abt dat! Members of this government of Ganja are terrorists so are his supporters.

after reading the cmments and looking at ppl who are going to lead this country i can see Nov 3rd renamed as Mujaahidhunge Dhuvas, in celebration of the heroic martyrs of PLOTE and LTTE who died fighting to liberate this nation from a brutal dictator. victory day would be 28 october.!!! ……sad but true

i have considered some things we can do in appreciation of hussain Adam’s service on november third 19881. give hussain adam’s father a Resort2. give hussain adam’s father license to export fish3. give him a loan (3 million rf) from the treasury4. give him a goathi5. gift him the entire country. so hussain adam’s father can be Sultan

Vasanthi died a hero. His death saved our country. This is a day we must remember vasanthi and his great sacrifice. A man in whose debt we shall always remain. My thanks, our thanks to his parents for bringing up this brave boy who for a country his own. For a cause not his. My heart goes to his widow and his orphan children. May allah bless you all,

Ya technically speaking,by holding his position in front of the gate and not allowing enemy to move forward, he did give the security forces a lot time to think and react.if he ran away it would have been pretty much easy to brake in and completely over take the whole place. He is a hero no doubt about that. About Silver Shankar and Basanthi thank god they died sooner or else Tamil ranks would have be more organized and stable.

Silver Shankar and Basanthi also died for this country. This is a day we must remember the blood they shed for this small country. May Allah grant Basanthi eternal bliss in paradise.

anonymous, it wasnt just by coincident he was in the concrete box.as u know, there are two of those “boxes” near the front gate of NSS. at the night of the attack there were two people in it.when the attack began, one of them chose to run into the building while the other (Hussain Adam) stayed and fought back.that is why he is a hero. that is why we are all proud of.go get the book written about the attack n read it.

anonymous your such a self fucked up dude..let me place you in his position what would hav happened is u will be pissed, scared to death and hiding from the enemy fire till you die caz of the “badly designed concrete” heeh but in case of Shaheed Hussain Adam it wasn’t like that ppl hav have seen him fightn and he fought till his gun was out of ammo, ppl hav heard him screaming for ammo this not a fake story his gun found next to his body was bullet less …in cas of u…i am sure u would hav died without firing a single shot..keke i can call that a coincidence ..he is hero and i think ur jealous or something.and also i dont think we are slaves…are u still living in 14th century Arabia????

the private’s death was a matter of coincidence. that he stood inside that badly designed concrete box that morning.. that he was employed by the NSS.. that his box was jammed by “enemy ” fire. if he died for anything other than circumstance he died for an oppressive regime. if that day on 3rd november had not occurred our citizens would have had to continue eating low grade rice meant for cows. that incident made Basmati rice possible. so we can say that shaheed adam helped defend our right to be slaves.. and our right to continue eating low quality rice.thank you.
