The Supreme Court Decides:
That Maumoon can stand for
A first term of office as president
Under the new constitution
That his previous six terms
Cannot be counted
Under this constitution
That there is no proof
Beyond reasonable doubt
That Maumoon is not a Sunni
That Anni has not committed
A Hadhdh offense under Islam
That it has not been proven
Beyond reasonable doubt
These Verdicts were passed down
By the Supreme Court which has ruled
That they cannot be questioned or criticized
The very court that turned down
A plea, by one presidential hopeful
That imposing a further condition
(Not stated in the constitution)
To stand for president
Was wrong

What if Maumoon wins and rule for another 10 years and close term he reform the constitution saying its a new one under which he can rule the country for another 10 years. This way he can be as good as president for life.

everyone.. don’t forget that this is an interim supreme council. They will leave after the interim period. So let the Maldivian people prepare for the parliamentary elections. We can get the judicial in shape if we elect the right people who can voice people’s voice rather than a rich few.Let us all put all our efforts to parliamentary elections in February…

you cannot digest the autonomy of the judiciary. stop complaining. the decision is a very important first step in the rule of law. no one including idham is above the law. the justices have the right to decide.
