Recently I wrote a post in which I speculated that the reason that liberal female teachers do not prevent classroom violence is rooted in the evolutionary requirement that females yield to rampaging males so that they may live to pass on their genes rather than fight a battle that is sure to get them killed. As usual, most people disagreed with me.

A few people protested at the male chauvinism of my thesis, though they couldn’t really dispute the facts I cited, just assert that in theory women teachers could stand up to violent boys just like men do. In theory, anything’s possible; let me know when they start doing it in practice. I spent my formative years surrounded by female teachers, and that’s enough to make anybody a male chauvinist. Really, if feminists were sincere about changing the perception of women as weak, incompetent, and immoral, they would be driving almost all current teachers out of the profession as we speak. It’s a miracle that anybody emerges from our educational system still thinking that women’s suffrage is a good idea.
