".. stop reciting … what is clearly not true": Minivan News

21 Oct

“To find a peaceful solution to the problem, what is required first is intellectual honesty. We must stop reciting and repeating what is clearly not true. A good starting point would be to admit that our people did not convert peacefully but were murdered and terrorized into submission,” Minivan News writes in a letter to the editor. Minivan news claims that it was written by an Adam Moses.

To produce such sentiments which are disrespectful of a whole culture is freedom of speech to some. The online news site is thought to belong to a Maldivian. It may not be true.

@Anon1: I have no problem with it. I am just raising the issue. If you carefully look at this blog you will see, I respect and practise “liberal democratic values”. I believe in respecting the views of all, and being able to say what I want – in a manner that is respectful of the recepient.

The Isdhoo loamaafaanu clearly documents the murders that were carried out in the conversion to Islam. The Adduan word for circumcision is “Islaam kurun”.Buddhist monks were circumcised by force. Those who refused to accept the Arabic religion were beheaded. This is history written.

Have to admit that the letter in Minivan news is biased and it sux.Its clearly an anti islamic propaganda… Get out of this country those that cant value our religion and culture.@ Anonymous: in my opinion, this is a muslim country, no need for anti islamic criticism, we dont ridicule, but we say to show the people correct guidance for paradise. u will die, face the truth.

Mr. Shihab, it was a letter to Minivannews. and what’s your problem with it anyway? We continue to ridicule infidels in our Khutbas, in our books, in the bazaar.. and we can’t allow the opposite? What kind of hypocrisy is that?
