Tough Days – a poem

17 Feb

These have been tough days. Everything seems to be falling apart. Rather, falling within. There’s complete silence. There is no sign of the chaos or the ruckus. It is the absence of the calamity that makes it so beautiful, the calamity that is happening inside.

To deaf ears. To blind eyes. To thick skin. I warm up, whisper and blink my eyes with warmth. Not for fear, but by design. There’s so much, yet so little. There’s nothing, yet everything.

Life could have been so much better. Was never to be.
