Transparency doesn’t mean revealing everything – just enough to remove fear.

In schools, teams relaxed the moment they understood why decisions were made. In VibeShift sessions, transparency built more trust than authority ever could.

As young leadership student navigating the complex terrain of leadership, I remember how I struggled with disclosures because I thought it would make me more vulnerable. Later I learned that being vulnerable is one of the greatest strengths that a leader can have. Because the truth hurts when it is shoved under the carpet to make us look good. I have seen this over and over again in my leadership journey.

The design of systems to hide the truth have cost people dearly. That is why I believe transparency can save the day. People can handle reality. What they struggle with is uncertainty. Transparency turns uncertainty into clarity, and clarity into trust.

What small truth can you share today to build trust?
