Our days carry their fair share of triumphs and tragedies. I used to end my days thinking of what went wrong. But over the years I have learned to end my days by whispering Alhamdhulillah – for what went right.

Gratitude doesn’t erase our fatigue; it transforms it. It turns ordinary moments into quiet miracles. It fills the room with peace, even when the world feels heavy.

The other day, a friend prompted her followers to list three feelings they had during the day and the reason for them. I listed three: gratitude, gratitude, gratitude. And recollecting them made me realise how fortunate I am – and filled me with gratitude and uplifted my spirits in a beautiful way.

Now, before I go to bed, I ask myself: Who lifted me today? What beauty did I almost miss? That gentle habit keeps my chest light, and my energy refreshed.

Reflection: What is a gratitude ritual that you practice?
