Culture is not a poster on the wall, a policy in a binder, or a once-a-year retreat. It’s the energy people feel when they walk in and the trust they take back home when they leave.

I’ve always been told I bring energy – I spark ideas, I talk, I lift spirits. Alhamdhulillah, that’s something I’m grateful for. But over the years, I’ve realized something deeper:

Culture is built less by how much we speak and more by how deeply we are present.

Not every leader needs to be the loudest voice in the room. Sometimes, the quiet question, the patient pause, or the honest apology has more power to shift culture than the perfect speech.

Reflection Prompt: What energy did you add – or drain – in your last interaction with the team?
