Adhadhu reported today that the Progressive National Coalition (PNC) party is facing allegations of recruiting members to the party using fake forms. Concerns have been raised on social media about individuals being admitted to the PNC with altered photos and signatures.

Former MP Saud Hussain shared a form on X showing current MP Mohamed Ismail as a witness signatory. A person named Nail claimed that the photo and signature on a PNC form in his name were fake. Nail has requested an investigation by the police and the Elections Commission.

The opposition MDP has also raised concerns with the Elections Commission, requesting a halt to the processing of PNC forms and a review of all submitted forms. The PNC has not officially addressed these allegations.

Despite efforts to reach 100,000 members by the end of last year, there is no official documentation confirming that the PNC achieved this goal.
